The possibilities of developing the Trans-Caspian corridor in cooperation with Europe were discussed in Tashkent

    On November 6, a plenary meeting of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development dedicated to the development of the potential of the Trans-Caspian Corridor (Middle Corridor) was held in Tashkent within the framework of the European Economic Days 2024, organized by the European-Uzbek Association for Economic Cooperation EUROUZ.

    Speaking at the event, First Deputy Minister of Transport Mamanbiy Omarov focused on the measures taken by the Ministry of Transport to develop and effectively use the potential of this corridor. In his speech, M. Omarov noted that the expansion of transport infrastructure and the strengthening of transport connectivity play a crucial role in the economic growth of the countries of the region.

    From this point of view, increasing the sustainability of the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor and its transformation into a multimodal route connecting Europe and Asia will contribute to strengthening economic ties between the two regions, improving the safety and sustainability of transport corridors.

    First Deputy Minister M. Omarov also held bilateral talks with representatives of the European Business Union.

    During the talks, aspects related to the implementation of joint cooperation projects to improve transport infrastructure in Uzbekistan were discussed.
