An event dedicated to the World Day of Tatar Cooking was held in Tashkent

    Traditionally, this holiday is celebrated on February 28, the birthday of Yunus Akhmetjanov, the great cook, the founder of the first restaurant of the Tatar national cuisine. His uniqueness lies in the fact that he collected recipes from all villages of Tatarstan, published 17 books on the national culinary art.

    "Tatar cuisine is one of the richest in its diversity," the master noted.

    This evening, a diverse palette of Tatar dishes was presented, performed by the hostesses of the Tatar cultural center with their own hands. Kosh tele, chak-chak, ochpochmak, paremyach, gubadia and other dishes, which the guests of the evening tasted with great appetite. Among the participants, a noodle cutting contest was held, a quiz on the knowledge of Tatar dishes, as well as cooking kistiby according to Yunus Akhmetzyanov's recipe.

    The festive program, prepared by the Honored Artist of Tatarstan and Bashkortostan Feruza Haidarova, gave the visitors a festive mood. Tatar music was played all evening, honored artists and cultural workers of Tatarstan pleased the guests with their songs.

    The event was attended by members of the Board of the TOKPC, honored guests, youth, and the media.
