The inspectors for the prevention of the regional administration conducted an inspection on the received appeal, during which they found out that the Turkmen caracal turned out to be a rare predator. The identified case violates the requirements of the Laws "On Nature Protection" and "On the Protection and Use of Wildlife."
For information: The Turkmen caracal is listed in the Red Book of Uzbekistan and Annex I of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) as an endangered, mosaic-like subspecies.
With the help of specialists from the Tashkent Zoo, the animal was euthanized with a special device and transferred to the zoo. The predator's condition is assessed as good. He is under the supervision of specialists.
