The document provides for periodic evaluation of products and services certified in accordance with the requirements of Halal.
It is planned to establish certification bodies for products and services in accordance with the requirements of Halal.
When certifying and defining requirements for them, priority will be given to standards adopted by the Institute of Standards and Metrology of Islamic Countries (SMIIC) and officially recognized internationally.
From May 1, 2025, it is planned to begin labeling products and services certified in accordance with SMIIC requirements with the "Halal" sign.
The applicant submits an application to the certification body in electronic form. The certification body reviews the application submitted by the applicant and the documents attached to it within three working days.
Assessment work is carried out at the place (at the facility) of production or provision of services in accordance with the assessment program developed and approved by the head (deputy head) of the certification body.
If doubts arise during the assessment regarding the composition of the products produced or used by the applicant, product samples are selected with the participation of the applicant and tested in an accredited testing laboratory in accordance with the requirements established in regulatory documents in the field of technical regulation and Halal requirements.
The document has been published in the National Database of Legislation in the official language and will enter into force on 05/02/2025, Norma reports.
