The Regulation on the procedure for maintaining public order and ensuring fire safety in large markets has been approved. It sets:
· the procedure for organizing events aimed at maintaining public order and ensuring fire safety in large markets, as well as preventing and eliminating emergency situations;
· requirements for equipping large markets with security equipment such as CCTV cameras, alarm systems, fire alarms, alarm buttons and voice notification equipment;
· the rights and obligations of employees (military personnel) of departments (departmental services) to ensure public order and fire safety;
· the rights and obligations of the facility administration, sellers and persons visiting the facility to maintain public order and ensure fire safety.
The document also contains an approved list of large markets located on the territory of Uzbekistan.
A large market is a property complex with 300 or more permanent retail outlets and shops operating on a permanent or temporary basis in places determined by the Council of Ministers of Karakalpakstan, regional khokimiyats and Tashkent city.
The document has been published in the National Database of Legislation in the state language and will enter into force on 03/01/2025, Norma reports.
