New projects will be launched in cooperation between the parliaments of Uzbekistan and South Korea

    Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva received a delegation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea.

    During the meeting, the parties noted that at the moment the relations between the parliaments of the two countries have reached a new level, relations based on close friendly ties of similarity of mentality, traditions and values of our peoples have reached the level of strategic partnership.

    Attention was also drawn to the fact that trade and investment indicators are steadily growing, about a thousand enterprises with the participation of Korean capital operate in our country. In order to improve these indicators in this regard, an exchange of views took place on the expansion of joint projects.

    Based on the experience of Korea, with the support of the KOICA International Cooperation Agency, the progress of the implementation of a grant project in Uzbekistan to implement the Electronic Parliament system was discussed.

    Proposals have also been put forward to strengthen direct ties between the recently elected committees of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea and the committees of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis.

    Taking into account the rich experience of South Korea, it was emphasized that it is necessary to encourage cooperation to ensure the employment of women, first of all, to involve them in entrepreneurship, to increase the potential of business management.

    An exchange of views was also held at the parliamentary level on the issue of creating favorable conditions for Uzbek labor migrants in Korea.

    During the conversation, an agreement was reached on the launch of new joint projects between the two countries in the fields of education, healthcare and anti-corruption.
