South Korea will support Uzbekistan's accession to the WTO

    The South Korean government has begun holding events to support Uzbekistan's accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO), Yonhap news agency reported.

    Thus, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of South Korea organized a thematic seminar in Tashkent. It was attended by representatives of two states.

    "Korea will continue to actively support Uzbekistan's accession to the WTO, and we hope that this will contribute to further deepening the economic partnership between the two countries," said Park De Gyu, a legal specialist at the South Korean Ministry of Commerce.

    Since 2004, South Korea has been chairman of the working group that supports our country's membership in the WTO. In 2017, Tashkent and Seoul agreed to hold seminars to promote Uzbekistan's accession to the organization.
