Deputy Prosecutor General of Uzbekistan: "No serious violations were detected during the voting"

    "Following the results of the Presidential elections, the Prosecutor General's Office of Uzbekistan received 5 appeals," Deputy Prosecutor General Shokhrukh Aminov said during a briefing held today on the preliminary results of the presidential elections held on July 9.

    As Shokhrukh Aminov stressed, "one of the five appeals was not confirmed, all the others were studied in a timely manner and resolved on the spot by clarification. No serious violations were detected."

    "All the appeals were received by the "hotline" of the Prosecutor General's Office. They came from Jizzakh, Kashkadarya, Navoi, Samarkand and Syrdarya. In total, over one thousand hundred messages have been monitored," the Deputy Prosecutor General stated.
