France is one of the world leaders, including in the development of medicine. That is why patients from all over the world come there every year for diagnostics, therapeutic procedures and complex surgical operations.

Another noteworthy fact is that mortality rates from diseases of the cardiovascular system among the population of France is at a low level. This shows how important cooperation and exchange of experience with this country is in the field of medicine.

These issues were discussed at today's meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to our country, Mrs. Aurelia Bouchez, held at the Ministry of Health.

At the beginning of the meeting, special thanks were expressed to the Ambassador for France's practical assistance during the pandemic, in particular for providing vaccines against coronavirus.

In turn, the Ambassador spoke about the activities of AP-HP– the State Association of Medical Institutions in France, and voiced a proposal to establish cooperation with this structure.

As it was noted, AP-HP is one of the largest hospital networks not only in Europe, but also around the world. The Association operates on the basis of innovative solutions in 52 areas of medicine. More than 90 thousand employees work in 44 hospitals of the network, providing care to over 5.8 million patients annually.

During the meeting, an agreement was reached on signing a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan and the Association "AP-HP International". This, in turn, will allow expanding partnerships in such areas as medical insurance, modernization of medical institutions, student education, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, hematology, oncology, ophthalmology, modernization of emergency and emergency medical care.

In addition, there is a high need to study and popularize the experience of France in the implementation of management principles in the field of healthcare, the development of the pharmaceutical industry and attracting investment in this industry, staff training, sanitary safety.
