Tribute paid to the First President
Following his visit to Samarkand, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Hazrati Khizr Memorial Complex and paid tribute to the First President of the country, Islam Karimov, by visiting his mausoleum.
In recent years, thanks to the development of modern infrastructure meeting international standards, the city of Samarkand has become a regular venue for high-level events – summits, international conferences, and congresses.
On March 22, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, arrived in Samarkand and visited the mausoleum of Imam Bukhari. Verses from the Quran were recited.
Scientists from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, in collaboration with researchers from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, conducted computer simulations that allowed them to study the interaction of the H5N1 virus with the immune system. Experiments show that the avian influenza virus evolves, gaining the ability to evade immune defenses in mammals.
The Ministry of Justice has registered the Regulation "On the procedure for remote participation and voting at meetings of management bodies of business entities using information and communication technologies" (registration number 3613 dated 03/24/2025).
Due to the implementation of the Daryo Bo'yi Business City project, including the closure of the open reservoirs of Djangokh, Chukurkuprik and Zaharik, as well as the construction of a highway, green areas, pedestrian and bicycle routes, traffic along Shofayzi Street will be temporarily restricted from March 21 to May 1, 2025.
