In particular, the Deputy Chairman of the Senate Committee of the Oliy Majlis on Information Policy and Ensuring Openness in state Bodies, Farkhod Bokiyev, during conversations in educational institutions, industrial enterprises and mahallas of districts and cities of the Samarkand region, gave detailed explanations about the new articles and norms reflected in the draft Constitutional Law.
Thus, it was particularly noted that the updated Constitution is based on the principle of "man - society - state", that is, first of all, it provides for the interests of man above all. For example, the draft establishes that everyone has the right to work with dignity, freely choose a profession and occupation, work in favorable working conditions that meet safety and hygiene requirements, receive fair wages for work without any discrimination and not lower than the established minimum wage, as well as protection from unemployment in accordance with the law.
It was noted that this norm is important in ensuring decent wages for citizens for work, as well as a decent standard of living and, as a result, improving the standard of living of the population and implementing the principles of social justice in the country.
During the meetings, citizens expressed their opinions on amendments to the Constitution and received detailed answers to their questions.
