Sh. Umurzakov said that in recent years, at the initiative of the head of state, large-scale reforms have been carried out not only in Tashkent, but also throughout the republic, as a result of which a favorable, transparent investment climate has been created in the country. Noting that one of the directions of development is the optimization of public transport traffic, he expressed interest in cooperation in the production of buses for the needs of not only Uzbekistan, but also neighboring countries. At the same time, the priority is the production of eco-friendly transport. In this connection, it is proposed to organize an R&D center on the basis of one of the economic zones of the capital.

Chong Yong Pang said that Gemilang Coachwork Sdn Bhd is a manufacturer of commercial vehicles, including city and intercity buses.

Based in Malaysia, GML specializes in the design and manufacture of bus bodies, as well as their assembly. Thus, the company has the necessary potential for mutually beneficial cooperation in the production of high-quality, energy-efficient and cost-effective transport.

At the end of the meeting, the parties signed an Agreement on Mutual Understanding between the companies "Toshkent Invest" and "Gemilang Coachwork Sdn Bhd".
