At the meeting held at Xinhua University, ideas were exchanged on the development of bilateral relations and plans for the future. In particular, they discussed conducting research, joint educational programs and scientific events jointly with Xinhua University and universities in Uzbekistan.
The parties also focused on the activities of the Academy of Arts and Design of Xinhua University. In particular, Karimov noted that the academy's experience in training specialists would be useful for Uzbekistan, and suggested opening an academic center in Tashkent. The parties agreed to continue cooperation in this matter.
Following the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the National Office of Innovation and Technology Transfer of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation and the Center for Standardization and Technology Transfer of Xinhua University.
