The new peanut variety "Leader" was developed by Professor of the Faculty of Fruit and Vegetable Growing and Viticulture of Tashkent State Agrarian University Mahfurat Amanova.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture, for 17 years the professor has been conducting scientific research on the creation of a new variety. As a result, she was able to develop an early-ripening, high-yielding, large red-seeded peanut variety "Leader", which is able to meet the needs of the world market and local farms. In addition, the new variety has a high content of oil and protein in the seeds.

According to the ministry, the peanut variety "Leader" is distinguished by large seeds, as well as export-ability and high yield, therefore it can compete with American, Indian and Chinese varieties. The yield of the new variety is 6.5 tons; it is specified in the message.

Recall that in August of this year, scientists of the Research Institute (Research Institute) of Vegetable and Potato crops presented a new tomato variety "Mustakillik - 28" for industrial cultivation in the open ground.

At the same time, the yield of "Mustakillik - 28" is about 4-5 times higher than that of other varieties grown in Uzbekistan. Also, the new variety is characterized by a high sugar content and transportability.
