Issues of economic cooperation between the countries were discussed at the meeting. It was noted that Georgia and the Republic of Uzbekistan are stable trading partners and there is even more potential between the countries in this direction.
According to the press service of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a number of bilateral documents were signed following the meeting.
In order to further expand trade, economic and investment relations between the two countries, an agreement was signed between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Georgia on the establishment of the Georgian-Uzbek Business Council.
An agreement has been reached to hold an Uzbek-Georgian business forum in Tashkent in October this year. Georgian companies in the fields of winemaking, tourism, textiles and electrical engineering, showing great interest in Uzbekistan, are expected to participate in this business forum.
