Following the results of the 12th meeting of the Ministers of Transport of the Economic Cooperation Organization, the Tashkent Declaration was adopted

    The Tashkent Declaration includes issues of further simplification of cargo transportation processes between the organization's member countries, increasing the transit potential of countries, and developing alternative transport corridors.

    Taking into account the tourism potential of ancient Samarkand, the participating countries approved a proposal to assign Samarkand Airport the status of an aviation hub of the ECO countries.

    A document was signed at the level of Ministers of transport of the participating countries on the further development of the Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan-Iran-Turkey transport corridor.
