The draft law "On amendments and additions to the Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Administrative Responsibility and the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan" was considered at the meeting.

It was noted that the authority of a teacher is, first of all, the authority of the nation, of the whole people. Therefore, in recent years and subsequent years, large-scale reforms have been carried out in our country to strengthen the role and status of teachers and educators in the life of society, the organization of the education system based on the requirements of the time.

However, along with this, cases of unjustified inclusion of teachers in the composition of many working groups on solving socio-economic problems and issues in the regions, the requirements of various reports and information from them continue.

In order to prevent these cases, this draft law has been developed. Certain norms propose amendments and additions to the Code of Administrative Responsibility and the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan to strengthen responsibility for involving teachers in forced labor.

The bill also strengthens the measure of administrative punishment for illegal interference in the professional activities of a pedagogical employee of an educational institution or obstruction of the performance of their official duties.

The members of the faction, noting the importance of the teaching profession and considering that the protection of representatives of this profession from forced labor is one of the most pressing issues of our time, supported the bill.

The meeting also considered the draft law "On amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan aimed at improving the system of state regulation of agriculture."

It is noted that today, due to the high demand for ferula in the domestic and foreign markets and the increase in prices for raw materials obtained by processing its juice, systematic measures have been taken to support business entities growing ferula for its deep processing and obtaining finished products, increasing the production of plants by cultural methods.

In order to preserve and improve the effectiveness of the protection of the wild ferula plant, the Committee for the Development of Sericulture and the Wool Industry has been granted the authority to issue a permit for its collection on the territory of pastures under its permanent jurisdiction, as well as its export abroad.

The deputies gave their proposals for improving the amendments and additions, approved the draft law.

At the meeting, after a detailed consideration of other legal documents included in the agenda, the relevant decision of the faction was made.
