Uzbekistan - Singapore: important aspects of interparliamentary cooperation discussed

    On May 2 of this year, the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Tanzila Narbayeva, received a delegation headed by the Speaker of the Parliament of Singapore, Sia Kian Peng.

    At the beginning of the conversation, the guests emphasized that thanks to the visits of the leaders of the two countries, friendly relations between Uzbekistan and Singapore have reached a new level.

    During the meeting, issues of cooperation between parliaments, science and education, trade and economic, public administration and training of highly qualified personnel, practical cooperation in the field of combating corruption were discussed.

    It was also stressed that active inter-parliamentary cooperation is one of the most important mechanisms for the development of relations between our countries at all levels.

    Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on establishing practical cooperation between parliamentary committees and expanding the activities of friendship groups.
