According to the press service, the forum will bring together representatives of relevant organizations and structures of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan. Russian specialists will take part in the event as observers.
It is expected that experts will analyze in detail the issues of preparing the countries of the region for the autumn-winter season 2023-2024 and the work done in this direction. They will discuss problems and ways to solve them.
"It is planned to discuss the necessary practices to ensure the stability of electricity supply in the energy ring system of Central Asia, the prevention of cascading power outages, the connection of renewable energy sources to the power grid, their proper operation, as well as the prospects for the rational use of water resources in the region," the ministry said in a statement.
The decision to hold the 42nd meeting of the Coordination Commission and the 40th meeting of the Central Asian Coordinating Electric Power Council on October 25-26 in Samarkand was made at the previous meeting of power engineers held on May 4-5 this year in Dushanbe.
