Another batch of hepatitis C drugs has been delivered to Uzbekistan from Egypt

    As part of the implementation of the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan to ensure 100% treatment of patients with hepatitis C in 2024, the supply of medicines from Egypt will continue.

    According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Cairo, an agreement has been reached with the government of Egypt on the supply of 800 thousand units of drugs Daclatasvir and Sofosbuvir against hepatitis C and antiviral ‑ Entecavir with a total cost of 4.2 million US dollars by 2025, the news agency "Dunyo" reports.

    So far, a total of 696 thousand dollars’ worth of these medicines have been sent to the country.

    So, on January 20, the hepatitis C drug Sofosbuvir-400mg, allocated by the Egyptian government as humanitarian aid, was delivered. A total of 6,720 units of Sofosbuvir-400mg in 12 boxes will be transferred to patients of the Research Institute of Virology of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan.
