The Ambassador of Qatar noted as a great merit the signing of the "Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the State of Qatar on cooperation in higher education and scientific research" within the framework of the state visit of the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to Uzbekistan in 2023.
The parties agreed to appoint responsible persons by the Ministries of Higher Education and Science of the two countries in order to implement the provisions of this agreement.
During the meeting, a number of proposals were considered to expand cooperation with the Qatar Council for Research, Development and Innovation (QRDI), cooperation in the field of scientific research and the allocation of mutual grants for the education of young people of the two countries.
After the conversation, the Qatari side invited Minister K. Sharipov to this country to get acquainted with Qatar's higher education and science, and develop new mutually beneficial projects.
