    Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 563 dated 10/26/2023 amended and supplemented some Government decisions in connection with further improvement of the registration procedure for mobile devices imported for personal use. The amendments will come into force on 28.01.2024.

    In particular, the amendments and additions provide for:

    • determination of the current norms for the transportation of certain goods through the aviation points of the State Border of Uzbekistan, for which customs duties are not levied on individuals;
    • extension of the gray list of IMEI codes of mobile devices belonging to non-residents from 30 to 60 calendar days;
    • implementation of the procedure for registering IMEI codes through websites and mobile applications;
    • improving the system of customs clearance of mobile devices imported by importers.

    In accordance with the current procedure (PCM No. 463 of 22.06.2018), duty-free import rates are established for household appliances, telephones and other goods, depending on their total cost. At the same time, individuals can import only one telephone without duty every six months. Starting from 28.01.2024, it is allowed to import duty-free two telephones at each border crossing, including mobile phones and other devices with a communication module.

    The document is published in the National Database of legislation in the state language and will enter into force on 28.01.2024, reports "Norma".
