To improve the quality of passenger service for trams and trolleybuses in the Samarkand and Khorezm regions, priority tasks have been identified:

• modernization of public transport infrastructure and gradual updating of the traffic structure;
• improvement of modern urban public transport management systems based on advanced foreign experience;
• increasing the share of the "green transport" system in the republic, the number of efficient and environmentally friendly modes of transport;
• implementation of a digital process management system;
• cooperation with leading foreign educational and scientific organizations to improve the skills and experience of employees;
• implementation of a system for training professional personnel with modern knowledge.

Since January 1, 2024, an automated ticket payment system has been introduced in trams and trolleybuses in the Samarkand and Khorezm regions.

The document also approved a "roadmap" for improving and developing the efficiency of public electric transport.

The document was published in the National Database of Legislation in the state language and entered into force on 12/18/2023, Norma reports.
